Aloha, okay, this week is our Christmas episode and this is my favorite episode of the year and it's with my favorite guest of the year and it's with my favorite person in life, my daughter, aria park. Sup, girl, sup, welcome back to my show, thanks. So this has been your first year in high school and you're a freshman. How did you like high school so far? It's halfway through, you're at your mid-term, so how do you like high school right now?
Speaker 1:It's okay Because we have mid-terms this week and it's kind of bad, but high school has been really good this year.
Speaker 2:Yeah, wait, first off, why is midterms bad? You study for them, right?
Speaker 1:Yes, I do, but they're just irritating Because we have to go in for two hours and then leave.
Speaker 2:Well, that's good, right? You don't have to stay in school all day. It's bad for me, because now I gotta get off work early and come get you every time. Yeah, so what do you like about high school?
Speaker 1:um. I like my friends. Well, they were your friends last year. I know, but we have more freedom this year like what do you mean by freedom? Like I don't know. We just gotta do more stuff because there's more space in the high school and in the gym.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so what do you think differs from high school and intermediate? Like what do you think differs from high school and intermediate? Like what? What do you like more and what don't you like more about being a high school student?
Speaker 1:In middle school we had to be like in one area like a lot, and it was just a small area. But high school we have like a lot more space.
Speaker 2:So what do you think is the like, what do you think that you wish you had from intermediate school, that you don't have?
Speaker 1:now I don't know.
Speaker 2:I mean, it's not that big of a change yeah, I guess not unless I was like changing schools, but I'm not so yeah, so, um, this was your first year playing high school volleyball and you were, uh, jv and you guys won the il, or co-champions, with the ILH in your division, so I guess that's a good thing, but how did you like playing JV for your first year?
Speaker 1:It was good.
Speaker 2:It also wasn't that much different than intermediate, because, yeah, Well, for JV, you guys only played one game a day. For intermediate, you guys might play two games, right? Yeah, one thing about Intermediate that I liked last year is you guys had playoffs and you guys I mean you guys didn't win it.
Speaker 2:For JV this year. You guys did super good. They had two rounds. You had to play every team twice the first round. You guys lost one game. You they had two rounds. You had to play every team twice the first round. You guys lost one game to iolani. And then the second round, you guys beat everybody, including iolani. So that's what made you guys champs, because you guys are, I guess, co-champs because iolani has one win over you and you guys have one win over Iolani. So it kind of tied up. I don't know why they didn't do a championship game. That would have been. How did you feel about not doing a championship game? Because, if you're like me, you'd want to know right.
Speaker 1:I mean we were missing a lot of people because they were going like on trips and stuff. So like it was kind of a good thing that we didn't do it, but like they should have done it like later, like after ball break or whatever it was would you have rather played in a championship game and lost, or just be co-champions? I don't know. I mean, it's okay being co-champions, but it's like you're both second place technically but you guys both first place we're both first place, but like no one's actually first place yeah, you're like me, I don't believe in co-champions.
Speaker 2:It's like come on, you gotta battle, figure out who's the best. I do think because you guys beat them last and that showed that you guys overcame adversity from losing to them. I think that holds a little more water and I could at least justify calling you guys the champs because you guys beat them last.
Speaker 2:So if that makes sense or helps you sleep at night, I guess I don't know, yeah you don't seem too enthused about being co-champs, so next year you what do you hope for for volleyball? What do you want to try and do?
Speaker 1:Winning some championships in the mainland.
Speaker 2:All right, so you guys just started your first. Well, I guess it's your first season with Ho'omau Volleyball Club. It used to be a different name last year. It's the same club, it's just a different name. How do you like how things are going so far in this club, because it's a lot of the same girls on your team and girls that you're close with?
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's kind of the same, except with less coaches and a lot smaller club now, but it's still pretty much the same.
Speaker 2:I like it. Yeah, how do you feel about your guys team this year?
Speaker 1:I think we have a lot of potential right now.
Speaker 2:Just need to work up to get to the potential to reach your potential yeah what you guys, what do you think in your opinion, is like the, I guess, like what do you think is going to be the hardest thing in this, in this year's season?
Speaker 1:Um, I don't know. I think a lot of. I think just like getting along with each other, not like we don't get along with each other. I mean like on the court because, like this is our first year playing with a lot of people.
Speaker 2:So well, I do agree with you with that word potential. I think you guys have a lot of potential. You guys got some ringers on your team and you guys got some girls that are being developed, that have capabilities to being good and I think, with your coach now who's coach kia, who you had the first year I think she'll bring it out of all your teammates and kind of make you guys gel together. I think she'll make the girls who are already good even better, and I think it's going to be a fun season. You guys' first tournament will be this weekend. Are you looking forward to it? Yes, are you nervous at all? You just want to get in there and smash.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:All right to get in there and smash, yeah, all right. Well, I have received actually a ton of questions online and we can bang some of these out. Um, and then we'll get back to talky's story. Uh, okay, well, let's get started. You ready, okay, if your pet could talk, what do you think he would say? Our pet being, aka our uh, cat, what do you think you would say?
Speaker 1:you would either say let me go, you're really irritating, or I like to cuddle you is he saying that to you?
Speaker 2:yes, yes, okay, it's kind of funny because akka only likes to cuddle me and you yeah not auntie sasha, whose whose cat it really belongs to. Yeah, all right. Okay, what do you think the your biggest flaw is that people would say about you?
Speaker 1:um, that I'm super short, that's not a flaw.
Speaker 2:Well, people talk to me like it is one well, there's nothing you can do to fix that, unless you're walking around in high heels or platforms.
Speaker 1:Exactly.
Speaker 2:Well, you can blame your dad, because of him is the reason why you're not tall.
Speaker 1:It's okay, I don't want to be tall anyways.
Speaker 2:Yeah, god made us short for a reason, so we don't take over the world. Okay, that's it. What else do you think would be your biggest flaw that people would say about you other than being short?
Speaker 1:Oh, my attitude Well you have attitude. Yeah, but if someone like I don't know.
Speaker 2:What is your attitude?
Speaker 1:Like if someone just irritates me or just like gives me attitude, like I'll give it to them like 10 times worse.
Speaker 2:Like give me an example of your attitude.
Speaker 1:I don't know.
Speaker 2:I want to know what your attitude in action would be like.
Speaker 1:I don't know like I, it just comes out, it just happened.
Speaker 2:So someone gives you, oh, so you're like daddy.
Speaker 1:Then yeah, I don't know. All right, no, like my mom oh okay, yeah, she's pretty witty.
Speaker 2:All right, let's see.
Speaker 1:What is the weirdest food you ate and what foods don't you like?
Speaker 2:The weirdest food I ate I don't know, I'm trying to think what would be the weirdest thing you ate.
Speaker 1:Oh, I ate this weird thing called like abalone or something.
Speaker 2:Oh, okay.
Speaker 1:In the little. That was disgusting, it was absolutely disgusting.
Speaker 2:It's like an oyster.
Speaker 1:But it's not even like an oyster, it's like hard. It's not hard, but it's like an oyster. But it's not even like an oyster, it's like hard.
Speaker 2:It's not hard, but it's like you know those little things that I showed you in the little package from Japan.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Like baradego, that's abalone.
Speaker 1:Oh, I had them like fresh, though it's kind of disgusting.
Speaker 2:I like fresh, though it's kind of disgusting. I like abalone. Anyway, what would be the foods you don't like to eat? Like for me? Mine, as you know, is bell peppers. I hate bell peppers, I can't eat them.
Speaker 1:I don't really know. I'm not like a picky eater, so I literally eat anything. No, you don't know, I'm not like a picky eater, so I'll literally eat anything.
Speaker 2:No, you don't. You don't like mushrooms, oh mushrooms.
Speaker 1:Well, like, I'll eat them. I don't really care, but like, if it's a lot, then I won't eat it.
Speaker 2:Alright, yeah, you're true. That's true, you're not a picky eater. Okay, oh, this is a good question. If you could create A new school subject, what would it be? Um, not time, that's not a subject yes, it is that's actually a break in a subject. What would be a subject that you would create, that you would like to do?
Speaker 1:I don't know, I don't know. I'm pretty sure school is made up of all the possible things to make me do in school, like design, what.
Speaker 2:Okay, what is your least favorite subject? Science why is that your least favorite? That's what I do for a living. It baffles my brains.
Speaker 1:It baffles my brain Like it just doesn't make sense to me, science is what makes sense.
Speaker 2:Science is the reason why things make sense.
Speaker 1:So it's the opposite of what you just said. Obviously not if it doesn't make sense. Obviously not if it doesn't make sense to me.
Speaker 2:That's because you're not learning it correctly, maybe.
Speaker 1:Okay, they don't blame it on me. Blame it on my teacher.
Speaker 2:All right. Well, I hope she hears this and gives you a good grade. Honestly, science is what explains life, and that's pretty much daddy's work, so you need to be good in science. All right, let's see. Oh, do you dance when no one is around watching? I already know the answer to this but no one's around watching yeah sure you dance all the time, like you can't do anything without dancing.
Speaker 2:oh, it's time for dinner, let's do a dance. Oh, it's time to take a shower, let's do a dance. Oh, it's time to get. It's time for dinner, let's do a dance. Oh, it's time to take a shower, let's do a dance. Oh, it's time to get ready to go to volleyball. Okay, let's do a dance. You do a dance in between dancing, you dance. All right, you're a dork. You can't do anything without doing a dance.
Speaker 1:Well, I mean no.
Speaker 2:All right. Well, I mean no, alright, let's see who would be the person you would not want to see this video this video yeah, who wouldn't? You want to see this video basically anyone from my school why I'm going to post it on your school's website good, what no hi? Everyone needs to know about aria park no, that's okay.
Speaker 1:Um, yeah, just people from my school all right, okay, let's see what is the funniest thing you have seen your dad do um, I don't know, oh that one time that you um burped in the isle of target like like you were like burp, and then you like raise your hands and there's this like child and an adult like right behind you.
Speaker 2:That was the funniest thing ever I remember that that was actually hilarious, yeah they must have thought we were super weird and awkward they must have thought you were weird, not me, yeah definitely thought I was weird. That's definitely, uh, one of the funniest things I have done in front of you, for sure yep okay, oh, here I already know an answer to this one, but what is the name of your favorite stuffed animals? Oh, bust them out too, alexio I don't know, I don't know it's a little bust out, but like it's okay.
Speaker 2:Let's see it. Let's bust him out. That's what Pua the pig, right? Yeah, so Pua the pig. We renamed Pua the pig. And what is Pua the pig's name now?
Speaker 1:Kalamungai.
Speaker 2:Kalamungai and you had Kalamungai Since you were like one. Now, when did you have Kalamunga and you had the Kalamunga Since you were like one? No, when did you have Kalamunga Like five? Not no, you were actually. No, you were like three.
Speaker 1:No, I remember getting him at like In the Disney store. Yeah, five, five, you were five and daddy renamed him Kalamunga.
Speaker 2:I remember getting him at, like all the one in the Disney store. Yeah, five, five, you're five, okay, yeah, and daddy renamed him I don't know how we came up with that name anyway and you had him ever since, and you can't go to sleep without it. All right, okay. Who is your favorite character in a movie or book?
Speaker 1:I don't know Not.
Speaker 2:Harry Potter, no not.
Speaker 1:Harry Potter? I don't know. I watch too many movies and I don't read books.
Speaker 2:What's your favorite movie? You better read books.
Speaker 1:I only read books if I have to my favorite movie, I don't know, it's probably like Peter Pan or Some other, I don't know.
Speaker 2:Know what was your favorite book? I know you liked outsiders. That was one of my favorite books yeah, I like that one. Yeah, okay what is one item you cannot live without my phone. I was going to say other than your phone. You can live without that.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay, that was a joke, I don't know.
Speaker 2:Other than your phone, what is your one item that you absolutely need?
Speaker 1:My eyelash curler oh.
Speaker 2:God yeah, your eyelash curler.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay, all right, I'm not going to agree with that.
Speaker 1:Okay, because you're, I'm not going to agree with that, okay, okay.
Speaker 2:Because you're a man, yeah. Next question If you could meet one celebrity, who would that celebrity be?
Speaker 1:Probably SZA or yeah.
Speaker 2:Why SZA?
Speaker 1:Because I like her songs and she's my favorite artist.
Speaker 2:I think for me it would be the rock. For some reason I really like the rock. Yeah, the people's eyebrow. He did that to me one time. Did I ever tell you about that?
Speaker 2:yeah yeah, he was in um 24 hour fitness. This was like I was younger and he was here to film the movie rundown. It was filmed here in hawaii and he was working on it 24 hour fitness and I was walking by and I looked at him and he was on uh, either the elliptical or the treadmaster or something like that. And he's looking at me and he seen me looking at him. I'm just staring at him and then he gave me the people's eyebrow and I looked at him.
Speaker 2:I didn't know what to say. I was like you're the rock man, and then he just smiled and felt like a dork.
Speaker 2:But he was there and it was in dork, but yeah, oh, that's funny, but he was there and it was in Kaneohe. It was pretty cool. La Rock was there. Yeah, now that was before he got mega famous. He was just getting started in movies but he was already famous from wrestling. But yeah, I thought that was cool. But that would be a celebrity that I would want to meet and talk story with also. Um, another one I would want to meet would be mike shinoda of lincoln park. I would. That guy is such a mastermind and talented person and talking story to him might be. I would think would be kind of cool. I think it'd be cooler than sizzle. Whatever's okay, let's see. Uh, what is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Speaker 2:cookies and cream or mint chocolate chip all right, I've been debating this with you for years. I can get behind the cookies and cream the mint chocolate chip. I don't understand. To me it tastes like toothpaste with chocolate sprinkles. No, yes, I don't understand why people like mint ice cream. It's literally.
Speaker 1:What's refreshing Like toothpaste? No, it's refreshing.
Speaker 2:Like toothpaste.
Speaker 1:No, like, just refreshing.
Speaker 2:Well, it's already cold and it's ice cream, so any ice cream is refreshing. It's cold.
Speaker 1:Okay, no, the mint chocolate is so good.
Speaker 2:Why do you like that? Because it's refreshing. All right, that's just annoying. All right, which do you prefer on the phone, talking to people or texting them? Texting yeah, I always um, I agree with you on that. You always text people and it's super annoying when I want to answer real fast and I I'm just like just call them up and ask them no, I'm waiting for them to respond for my text.
Speaker 1:No, because they don't answer me, maybe because they don't want to talk to me, but like no, oh, I should add FaceTime too.
Speaker 2:Either call text FaceTime oh, I like FaceTime.
Speaker 1:I like FaceTime. Why do you like FaceTime? Because it's like you're like talking to them real life, but like on a little screen.
Speaker 2:Okay, okay. Do you play video games and, if so, which are the games that you play the most?
Speaker 1:I don't really play video games anymore Like rarely, rarely the most. I don't really play video games anymore Like rarely rarely. I play Fortnite Like rarely Only if one of my friends begs me to play yesterday, or I'll play Block Blast. That's not really a game. It's not really a game. It's just like Tetris, but like.
Speaker 2:Well, Tetris is a game.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but it's not like a video game.
Speaker 2:Tetris is a video game.
Speaker 1:No, like it's like a puzzle game Basically.
Speaker 2:Alrighty, okay, oh, this is a good one, and you recently got into this and it's a kind of expensive habit. What are your favorite? Okay, what is your favorite shoes, since you've been collecting shoes?
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, this is my favorite question ever. So, like, my favorite type of shoes are probably Jordan 4s.
Speaker 2:Those are mine too, alright my favorite so what is your favorite? One, bust it out that over there yeah, I wanna see, I'll go get that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I have two, but okay, so I have the the military blue ones those are dope. I love these so, much, so much. And then I have the white thunders.
Speaker 2:I got those.
Speaker 1:I think I like these. I don't know. I like both of them.
Speaker 2:So the fours would be your favorite.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I like the fours. For me, I think the fours are the most nice. I also love the Jordans you bought me For my birthday. Those are super sick. I needed white shoes too. Those are super dope. Speaking of fashion, you're kind of into fashion now and you got your own style. What is your favorite clothing brand?
Speaker 1:um, I don't know. I think either holo shirt or brandy, because likey's stuff is all super small, except for their pants because I have to cut them. But their shirts are all super tiny.
Speaker 2:Well, isn't that what they said? Because we watched that documentary on Brandy Melville and it wasn't a good one. They kind of did some shady stuff and they kind of got a little bit canceled for not being politically correct and being about plus size girls. So I mean, you're not a plus size girl but the brand uh, kind of excluded girls of larger stature, yeah because the thing is one size fits all.
Speaker 1:But they should say one size fits most or some.
Speaker 2:What clothing brand don't you like? If you've seen a girl running some of this, what would you be like?
Speaker 1:I don't know, I like, I don't like, um, I don't really know. Oh, like crazy style, you know, like bright colors and like, just just like stuff that don't match each other.
Speaker 2:Well, so it's not a not about the brand, it's about how you put it.
Speaker 1:Put it together yeah, like it could be a brand from like literally anywhere, but just the way you style, it could just be like what so it could be a brand from anywhere and you could style it and it would look nice also, right? Yeah.
Speaker 2:Where do you get your style? Because you have a unique style and you kind of change it and I noticed that it's not anything near to what your friends run and I feel like you created your own little look. And where do you come up with your look?
Speaker 1:I don't know. I think I, based off my like style, a lot of shoes like depends on what shoes I'm gonna wear. It depends on what I'm gonna wear. So I also like see things off like tiktok and stuff, and I just kind of go off of that and just do whatever fits. The climate over here, because the weather is bipolar.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's either rainy or sunny or super hot. Yeah, all right. Oh, here's a good one. Are you more afraid of the doctors or the dentist?
Speaker 1:The dentist. Really why? Because they just hate my teeth for no reason. Actually, there is a reason, but like they just hate my teeth.
Speaker 2:Because you don't brush them. That's why.
Speaker 1:No, they pull it out.
Speaker 2:Well, that's because your mouth is tiny and the big ones are trying to come in, but the little ones weren't coming out yet, so they had to pull them and trust they're gonna pull some more. You got to get your wisdoms removed too, and eventually but yeah, I don't like the dentist all right.
Speaker 2:Well, you recently got braces or invisalign, which I'm super jealous, like I wish. When I was younger, I had invisalign. I had to wear the train track braces and for three years and every month they would have to go, I would have to catch bus to town and get them tightened and it was the most annoying thing ever and it cut my lips all the time. And now you got. Are you wearing them now? Yeah, how do you like having your Invisalign?
Speaker 1:I mean, they're nice sometimes they like. A good thing is they make my lips look big Because it's like a casing and it has little dots on them, so it's just like you know. And they also don't feel like anything, except for the rubber band which you can't really feel. But I don't like taking them out every time I have to eat, like if I had braces I would just I wouldn't have to worry about it, except for brushing it all the time.
Speaker 2:But yeah, well, plus two, you play volleyball. If you had regular braces and you get hit in the face with the ball, then you're gonna have. Yeah, and it's gonna cut your lips, which happened to me multiple times, and yeah, those things aren't fun, I think. With Invisalign, what's cool is you don't even have to go back every month to the orthodontist. You're constantly changing out the trays once a week and that's the equivalent of getting them tightened. So does it hurt every time you change them, or no? Maybe?
Speaker 1:like for like a couple hours, but like it doesn't really hurt anymore.
Speaker 2:Oh, did you change them yesterday? Oh, you forgot.
Speaker 1:I have to change it every Thursday now, so because I forgot.
Speaker 2:Alright, okay, let's see next question what is the Favorite? What is your favorite song of all time? At least Name some of your favorite songs of all time.
Speaker 1:I like nobody gets me by SZA. I also like I don't know I like that song. I also like I don't know I'd have to look on my phone to see what songs, because I don't know off the top of my head.
Speaker 2:Well, I think too, a lot of music is also circumstantial to the mood you're in, to the time period of life. For me, I like certain songs that remind me of things from the past, so it's hard to pick a favorite favorite.
Speaker 2:But, I can pick a bunch of them. Obviously, a lot of them are Metallica, linkin Park. I think a lot of songs in life help you get through certain things, so it becomes attached to those moments in your life and then when you hear it, it makes you feel good or makes you feel strong or some some kind of some kind of some kind of way that it makes you appreciate those songs. Yeah, as you get older in life, I think you'll understand that more, but your guys' music now isn't that great, to be honest. Yeah, as you get older in life, I think you'll understand that more, but your guys music now isn't that great, to be honest well, the song that I listen to is good.
Speaker 1:At least I think yeah what?
Speaker 2:what impresses me about you personally is that you know a lot of the older music like I'll trip out every time like we all start singing a song like how do you even know that song? You weren't even born when that song came out.
Speaker 1:I was like the song disappeared from existence.
Speaker 2:But for you to seek out music or to actually know the words and get into songs from a later generation is pretty cool, because in my opinion, the songs from a later generation is pretty cool, because in my opinion, the songs from the past and the music from the past is has more soul in it than the garbage. You guys listen now okay, do you think well, like, okay, go ahead like rap and stuff now is just like n word.
Speaker 1:N word like like I only listen to that if, like, I need to get like hype for something you know yeah, that's what.
Speaker 2:When you're about to play volleyball, what music do you listen to to get you hyped to, to get into? Game more rap yeah, like what?
Speaker 1:yeah, I don't know, like I don't know, just a whole bunch of people all right.
Speaker 2:Do you use music to get you hyped for? Uh, before the games, I always have my airpods in and, if you like, try to talk to me in the car, I'm not gonna say anything because it's before the games.
Speaker 1:I always have my AirPods in and if you try to talk to me in the car, I'm not going to say anything because it's blasting in my ears.
Speaker 2:You're turning into game mode, beast mode, action. Oh yeah, well, I do understand that when you play you are definitely not the same little sweet girl that's not playing. You definitely turn on same little sweet girl that's not playing. You definitely turn, turn on your little mood, but you definitely have that hype. Um, back to the music. I think, uh, in your opinion, what music now? Okay, since you listen to a lot of older music, or know a lot of older music, what music that's on now do you think will last the test of time and your kids will listen to it? But you're not having kids anytime soon Go ahead.
Speaker 1:I think a lot of more relaxed music I don't really know like just like a lot of pop music. I think now would last a while because, like some people probably think it's like cringy now or a super popular song, but once it gets old then you're going to hear it again and it's just going to become popular again. It's just going to stay around for a long time. That makes sense.
Speaker 2:Okay, let's see In this past year at school what moment made you laugh the most.
Speaker 1:Wait, someone asked this. Yeah, these are all questions people asked. Oh, okay.
Speaker 2:Yeah, for the most part yeah.
Speaker 1:Okay, I don't know, maybe my friends laugh a lot, like a lot, it's um. What about when the boy fell on the ground? That was hilarious. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2:What happened.
Speaker 1:That was actually hilarious. So it was this kid that was like okay, this super mean. But like I cannot help myself in these moments, like for some reason it's just so funny to me when someone eats it, like eats it hard, it's. I don't know why it's so funny to me. But like this kid was like rushing to run down the stairs and he had cleats on and then he slipped and then he fell down the stairs. He didn't get hurt or anything, but he like fell down the stairs and then he just laid there like with his arms open with all of his bags, like at the bottom of the stairs.
Speaker 1:I just started dying, laughing, like literally dying. And then all my other friends were like oh my gosh, are you okay? And they were like, and they were all like are you saying like, oh my gosh, are you okay? And then I literally had to like walk away because it was so funny. And then my friend texted me later and they were like that you're so mean for laughing at that kid. I was like I know I can't help it.
Speaker 2:It was actually hilarious so some boy ate it down the stairs and you, instead of helping him up, you started laughing at him and then walked away well, everyone else helped them, like the other nice people in your school helped him, while you just stood there laughing at him. You're kind of a mean girl. Huh, you're one of those mean girls.
Speaker 1:No, I'm not mean. That doesn't sound nice, but that's only once. I'm only mean if someone's mean to me first.
Speaker 2:So how are people mean to you? First, no, if they're just like being irritating, you know. I would like to know some examples of this, like how they are mean to you and how do you respond?
Speaker 1:No like Go ahead. If someone just says something dumb like, I'll just like come back with like a response.
Speaker 2:That's just like hello, that's common sense. Ok, so say, I'm one of your little classmates and I was like hey, are you? You're a little, your hair is all dirty and you smell like chicken manure.
Speaker 1:What would you do? Oh, I don't think anyone would say that to me, because it's a pet peeve of mine to smell bad. Like I will not smell bad for anything. I cannot smell bad. I have a whole drawer of perfumes deodorant. Like I cannot smell bad, I have a whole drawer of perfumes deodorant like I cannot smell that all right it was, it was a hypothetical.
Speaker 2:Okay. Hey, aria, your hair's all twisted and you look nappy. What would you say? No, you said you're witty. I want to see some wit.
Speaker 1:Let's go I would say okay, because that's their opinion and that it's not gonna do anything to me all right, you're not that witty I would say okay, then they'll be like oh, dang my thing, my little comment to her didn't make her feel anything. So then they'll rethink about their life choices. And then they'll think like oh, that was pretty dumb of me to say that. I don't know why that words would come out of my mouth. So Alright.
Speaker 2:Okay, who are your top three best friends that you could tell anything to? Casey from volleyball my friend Olive and nine the top days. They're all like nouns nine and oh one's a number. Olive is something you put on pizza and casey's a city.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Alright, if you had three wishes, what would they be?
Speaker 1:Um. Is there any rules to the wishes?
Speaker 2:Same as Aladdin you can't wish for somebody to fall in love to die, or you can't wish for more wishes.
Speaker 1:Oh, I would wish for a big fat mansion.
Speaker 2:You got to clean. It Can't even clean your room. You gotta clean.
Speaker 1:It can't even clean your room and then I would wish, I don't know, I don't really think about that stuff are you that spoiled that you already have everything you wish for? No, I would save the other two for later.
Speaker 2:That's lame.
Speaker 1:That's not lame, because what if something happens? And then I make a wish.
Speaker 2:Okay, so you want to have a couple extra in the in the queue, just in case sure all right, that was a lame answer. If you could travel to anywhere, where would it be? Paris?
Speaker 1:why paris, france? Because I can speak French I'm joking, I can only speak a little bit of French but also like we were supposed to go when I was 10. But we didn't go. So I want to go.
Speaker 2:Well, what about Paris? That interests you or wants you to want to go there?
Speaker 1:Just like a lot of the architecture is obviously like the buildings and stuff and like the food is really nice and really yummy.
Speaker 2:I heard, yeah, and I also take French class, so when, somewhere in the United States that you haven't been to already? Where would you want to go?
Speaker 1:San Fran.
Speaker 2:Really Okay. Yeah, well, hopefully the 49ers are doing well next season and we can go. You'd want to go to a game with daddy Sure and then we can go cruise the city and you would like, san fran, your vibe is definitely that kind of vibe. San francisco action well, we're going to new york in a few days. Are you stoked for that?
Speaker 1:let's go. Yes, why are you?
Speaker 2:why are you so excited for new york?
Speaker 1:I love new york it's like I love it because it's so city in some places and then some places it's like like like little small town, like away from city. I like times square, even though, like, there's a lot of crazy people over there. But like I also like the subway. I think it's pretty cool but it's kind of disgusting, but it's like it's like cool how it works and stuff and how it like takes you everywhere. And then I also like shopping. There's so much shopping over there.
Speaker 2:Yeah, what is, what is, uh, some of the things you want to do when we're in New York Shopping, other than shopping.
Speaker 1:I want to go see snow obviously because I haven't seen snow before and I want to go to what's that place called the really big park, central Park.
Speaker 2:Central Park yeah.
Speaker 1:I want to go there.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, I think we're gonna have a fun vacation. It should be. Should be cool. It's gonna be cold. Um, yeah, hopefully we do see snow. I think we can travel to where the snow is. If we don't, so I think it's going down this trip. You get to see snow.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:Okay, well, what are your goals for the new year?
Speaker 1:To do good in school and excuse me, school and excuse me and do good in volleyball, I don't know.
Speaker 2:That's like the main one alright, I guess that's an easy answer. I know what I want to ask you, since we were talking about traveling earlier In your future. If you were to go to college away, where would you want to go to college, I mean?
Speaker 1:you don't have to say oh, okay, just California.
Speaker 2:Why California?
Speaker 1:Anywhere along closest to home.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so it'd be California, washington, vegas, I guess, oregon.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I think you'd probably match the most in San Diego, or not San Diego, but in California. Plus two would be closer to Disneyland. All right, oh, here's one. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Speaker 1:I used to watch Chippendale a lot.
Speaker 2:That's true.
Speaker 1:Like a lot, a lot. I think that was one of my favorites. Like a lot, a lot. I think that was one of my favorites. Oh, and also Pengu. Like that weird, like clay animation penguin. That was the funniest thing ever to me it was so funny, yes, but like I think it's in like another language, so like I didn't understand what he was saying. But it was just funny.
Speaker 2:That was the most annoying thing ever and you'd watch it for hours and all and then you'd stop and the rest of the day you'd walk around the house going not bad.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Annoying. What would be okay? What would be one thing that you would change in this world if you had opportunity to?
Speaker 1:um, like what do you mean?
Speaker 2:like, just like anything yeah, well, to make it a better place, I guess um, to make it a better place, I guess.
Speaker 1:I think like diseases that kill people, like cancer and all that stuff, and yeah.
Speaker 2:What about it? Get rid of it, yeah, okay. That of it, yeah, okay, that makes sense.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Let's see what is your definition of aloha and how do you show it in everyday life? Or do you show it in everyday life? I don't know.
Speaker 1:Yes, I do, I, do, I do.
Speaker 2:Do you show it in everyday life? I don't know.
Speaker 1:Yes, I do, I do. I think aloha would be like just being nice to people, like even strangers who you don't know are saying like hi, how are you? And stuff like that, and just don't be a rotten person.
Speaker 2:Like, yeah, you think daddy shows a lot of aloha, mm-hmm. Well, that's good. I try to lead by example and sometimes you never know Like a smile or a hi or have a good day could mean the world to somebody, and you never know how it could change their moment if they're having a bad day. So it's always good to show it. It doesn't take any amount of effort or energy and anytime you get to show aloha to somebody, it can always be a good thing. It will always be a good thing.
Speaker 2:All right, well, we've been going for almost an hour and I definitely appreciate you taking time out of your busy, rough schedule, of all the so many important things that you need to be doing. But, um, every year we do this and every year I can look back and see the changes in not only you physically, but as the way you talk, and how much you've grown up. And when daddy's gone, you can look at all these videos and hear our conversations and get stoked. So thank you for coming on. We can. Now you have an Instagram, so we can shout your Instagram out. It's what Aria Diggs. What's your Instagram?
Speaker 1:Aria Diggs.
Speaker 2:Like you just said. Well, that's her volleyball Instagram and I control it for the most part and, yeah, go check her out. Aria digs for us. As always, it's above the bridge podcast on instagram, youtube, our website is atbpodcom and my instagram is thaddydaddyhi. Um, what are you looking forward to? The holidays and for christmas time was, what are you looking forward to for this?
Speaker 1:uh, christmas break um, no school, no homework, because, like, since we have finals, like they don't give us any homework so I don't have to like worry about turning anything in in like january, and also like spending time with family and stuff and presents do you believe in santa claus?
Speaker 2:stop are you a true believer?
Speaker 1:cut. Cut this out. I'm not answering you.
Speaker 2:Nah, I'm going to edit that, no worries Come at you, Max. Sorry, all right. Well, thank you for coming on. Who do you want to shout out?
Speaker 1:If there's anybody you want to shout out out there, All my friends yeah, all my friends from school and volleyball all right.
Speaker 2:One more thing do you have a boyfriend? No great answer. That's the best answer you had all day not yet oh, oh, you think that's funny.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you can get somebody hurt, oh okay. Well, um, it's been a year of fun and you have accomplished a lot in this past year. I'm looking forward and excited to see what kind of plat. Um, I'm looking forward and excited to see what kind of heights you reach this year and what accomplishments you do. I know you have a lot of goals both on the court and in school. I think you've been handling your first year of high school very well. I think that you've stepped up your game and been trying really hard. I see you studying late at night. I often got to tell you it's time for bed and you've been handling your school more mature than most people I know and definitely a lot better than daddy handled his schooling when I was your age, so I want you to know that I'm very proud of you.
Speaker 2:I think I want you also to know that I see the amount of work and effort that you're putting into your school and also volleyball. How do you like training at the gym? We started recently going to 24 hour fitness and putting in that extra work. How do you like doing that and being in the gym? It's something different, you know what I mean yeah it's fun sometimes yeah.
Speaker 1:What don't you like about the gym? Just like I don't know. Just like sometimes if it's busy, then it's just like A little overwhelming.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, oh, and the stinky treadmill yeah, oh, that is disgusting all right.
Speaker 2:Well, um, we've been, yeah, we've been going on for over an hour. So I definitely, yeah, we've been going on for over an hour, so I definitely appreciate you coming on. I can't wait to see what you do this year and we'll reconvene back at this time next year and see what kind of new goals you have, what kind of old goals you reached. And, yeah, daddy loves you more than everything and I hope that this year is awesome for you and for us as a family. We're going to have a new person living with us this year and daddy's getting married, so that's going to be coming in soon. Are you excited for that?
Speaker 1:Yes, your wedding is going to be so fun.
Speaker 2:You're going to be in it too. I recently found out that Auntie Sasha asked you to be a bridesmaid. That's a huge honor. That's cool, all right. Well, shakas for the cameras. All right, we're done. Shout out to the Artist group network aloha.
